Foundations of Design

7th and 8th Grade

Foundations in Design continues the study of the elements and principles of design as they are found in all visual works of art. The areas of emphasis in this course may include, but is not limited to: ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media. Art history, production, criticism, and aesthetics will be integrated into course content through various instructional resources and art education experiences.
